Discover warm memories of yesteryear where shapely pin-ups and the sounds of girl groups singing close harmonies shaped a generation. A time of many changes, the 1940s and 1950s found morale being given a much-needed boost from the uplifting melodies that floated across the airwaves.
The scene is set as three singing sweethearts, The Bombshell Belles step onto the stage in red lipstick and khaki uniforms, inspired by the style of American GIs. Performing toe-tapping melodies from the era, the Belles are joined by a dashing male vocalist and an impressive live band. Portraying a time where music and glamour kept morale high, “In The Mood” captures the spirit of the blitz era and beyond whilst reviving the unmistakable sounds of Glenn Miller, The Andrews Sisters, The Beverley Sisters and more.
The second half of the show heats up a little as the Belles create an American Hangar Dance atmosphere, enhanced by a flirty pin-up costume change. With swinging choreography, the show features a variety of lively songs spanning the decades, including In The Mood, Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Mr. Sandman, Lollipop and Pennsylvania 6500.
A vibrant nostalgic production which will have any audience singing along to some of the most memorable tunes from the times. Featuring a charismatic cast and lively band, “In The Mood” is available for appearances in theatres across the UK and overseas. Smaller budgets and venues can also be catered for with a stripped-back package that comes with professionally arranged tracks opposed to the full band.
Setting a romantic scene, 'The Bombshell Belles' perform a heartwarming festive show, “In The Spirit”. With their hallmark harmonies, the Belles perform the finest Christmas songs from the likes of The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Michael Bublé along with many more esteemed artistes. Available with a more up-tempo set to get the party in the full spirit of the season.
